Samaritan Village Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania provides full time residential care for abandoned children, brought to us by local authorities. We now have 60+ orphans ranging from infant to Law School student. After completing local primary education at area Christian schools, students are sponsored to attend secondary boarding school and college/university or trade school depending on their aptitude and areas of interest. This is L4L’s longest running ministry partnership beginning in 2003.
Tumaini House in Arusha, Tanzania is a ministry of Youth With a Mission (YWAM) for orphans and vulnerable children. Most of the children are able to live full time with a single parent or other family member. A small number, with no supportive extended family, live full time at the residence. YWAM staff visit the children in their homes regularly to ensure the quality of their care and access to education. All gather one weekend a month, and during school breaks, for discipleship, Bible study, sports and fellowship.
