This year Stacy and the gals on the team launched a ministry to young women from Ghana here in Northern Iraq. They “work” as domestics but are often the victims of trafficking. Sometimes they go unpaid, are denied medical care, their passports taken away and can be abused physically and sexually.
We’ve helped a number of them escape and return home to family. Including one rather daring middle of the night extraction on a motorcycle.
For those that stay, the team has been discipling and doing Discovery Bible Study with them weekly. Two were baptized recently with more coming close behind.
