LOVE FOR THE LEAST: MIDDLE EAST

Bringing immediate relief and building long-term solutions for IDPs and Refugees in Northern Iraq

After a decade of political instability and brutal persecution in 2014 at the hand of Islamic extremism, these families have been driven away from their land, out of their homes, cities, jobs, churches and their very way of life. With no where to flee, some are housed in camps; some in tent villages, and some absorobed into the local communites.

2,000 Years of Christianity

NAMES LIKE UR, EDEN, AND NINEVAH CONNECT US TO THIS BIBLICALLY SIGNIFICANT LAND. THE APOSTLES THOMAS AND THADDEUS CARRIED THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WITH THEM AS THEY WALKED THIS GROUND IN THE FIRST CENTURY.

NOW, 2000 YEARS LATER, RATHER THAN FLEE THE LAND, MANY CHRISTIANS CHOOSE TO REMAIN AND REBUILD, LIVING OUT THE CALL TO BE THE REMNANT OF CHRISTIANITY IN THE VERY LAND WHERE IT BEGAN.

The political problem is complex, but the humanitarian problem is simple: Our forgotten brothers and sisters need relief for today and hope for tomorrow, and the option of living in this land they have always known.

We Have A Plan.

With your help, L4L-ME is bringing the basic, but unmet needs of existence to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of any ethnic or religious background: Food, water, hygiene and cleaning supplies; access to medical care and medicine via a mobile medical clinic; heat, light and air in the form of generators; school supplies and education; pastoral care, serving these families who have withstood atrocities too brutal to speak of, unimaginable to our civilized minds. We are there on the ground, 24/7.

L4L-ME has contracted a study to survey the IDPs and speak directly with these victims of terror and displacement. The results of the third-party survey, conducted by the Centre for the Study of Religion and Politics at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, coupled with our 24/7 engagement through our local partners on the ground in Dohuk, will determine how we proceed and find solutions for those who wish to remain in their historic homeland.

Long-Term Recovery solutions are grown from the ground up. L4L-ME is committed to finding solutions that are realistic and sustainable, solutions that are the result of informed study and input from the very people who are living as IDPs, solutions that reflect the unhindered desire of the remnant living in Northern Iraq. Your donations and prayers and remembrances restore hope and purpose to families stripped of their livelihoods, possessions and dignity.

YOU CAN BE THE GIVER, THE PRAYER PARTNER, THE DIFFERENCE-MAKER.
